GET TO KNOW THE THERAPIST
Since early adulthood, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. Losing my father at age 2, and my 7-month old son 25 years ago from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) led me to a life of compassion and empathy for others who experience loss, especially infant loss.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the greater Inglewood, California area, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and I go above and beyond to cater to their mental health needs. I am licensed in the states of California and Oregon. Over the past 10 years, I have been privileged to work with individuals (adolescents and adults) and families in public social services agencies and private practice helping them overcome barriers to address their mental health needs. As a LMFT, my goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where my clients can feel fully vulnerable and comfortable enough to openly express their feelings and emotions without judgment.

Currently, I provide clinical services to individuals experiencing issues such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, familial conflict, relationship issues, stress management, and difficulty coping with life transitions, to name a few. I use an eclectic approach that integrates a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. I integrate the use of these CBT techniques to help aid clients become a more, empowered, self-compassionate version of themselves while navigating through life’s obstacles.

In October 2021, I had the opportunity to be trained as a Certified Maternal Mental Health Peer Support Specialist (CMMHPSS). As a CMMHPSS, I provide counseling services to mothers like myself who have experienced post-partum depression and/or infant loss. It is my ultimate goal to help grieving mothers recovery from their experiences and come to a place of acceptance through talk therapy and by developing new meaning and purpose in one’s life.

Throughout my clinical experience, clients who are motivated, open to learning and committed to utilizing skills learned in therapy in their daily life, have the most successful outcomes. I truly care for all of my clients, and I work diligently to help them find the answers they seek. I look forward to being a part your successful therapy experience!
